Refugee Support
In addition to providing affordable housing to refugees Open Door also provides a number of other services in order to help and support individuals and families who are looking to integrate, find work and settle here on Teesside.

The Key services we provide are our 2 linked projects:
Refugee Advice Project which provides targeted information, advice and guidance for new and existing refugees in relation to housing, applying for welfare benefits including registering with the Job Centre, and how to access other specialist services.
For clients living in Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland we provide one to one appointments at our Melbourne House offices in Middlesbrough on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday. In Stockton-On-Tees and Hartlepool we make appointments to see clients at various refugee community hubs.
